Fundraising & Partnership Officer

Job Purpose

Responsible for maintaining the Children’s Museum donors’/ partners’ database, managing the acknowledgment process, assisting with fundraising communications and providing donor research and analysis. A qualified individual will have excellent proficiency in computer applications, including CRM, in addition to communication skills and the ability to quickly learn and operate in a dynamic environment. Strong assets for this role include experience working with nonprofit organizations and donors.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

Donor’s/Partner’s Relationship Management Role:

  • To build and maintain a database for current and potential donors, partners and grant providers.
  • To handle the CRM system in terms of creating accounts, uploading needed data and agreements to the system and managing relevant details.
  • To enter all donor data from checks, correspondences and transactions to the donor database on a daily basis and maintain an accurate hard copy and electronic files.
  • To update donor contact information to ensure current records are up-to-date.
  • To follow up on donor/ partner quota usage and allowances.
  • To follow up with the Marketing and Communications Department with respect to donors’ / partners’ visibility, logo placement and marketing material approvals.
  • To follow up with related departments on donors’ / partners’ presence during sponsored events.
  • To follow up on donors payments with the Finance Department.
  • To prepare partnership progress reports before agreement renewal or as per donors’/ partners’ requirements.
  • To maintain contact with donor organizations for support and collaboration purposes.
  • To contact focal points from different departments to schedule meetings when needed.
  • To reply to donor inquiries (by e-mail and phone) in a prompt and courteous manner.

 

 

Fundraising, Grant-related and Development Role:

  • To attend fundraising meetings.
  • To assist in researching funding opportunities, draft proposals and complete grant reports.
  • To maintain an up-to-date grants calendar; including donor and sub-grant reporting deadlines, budget vs. actual spending and grant opening, review and closing deadlines.

Other Duties:

  • To provide general office support.
  • To ensure that office environment and files are neat and well organized.
  • To provide support as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, finance, development or any related field.
  • (2-4) Years of experience.
  • Excellent command of English; spoken and written.
  • Native Arabic speaker with good writing and reporting skills.
