Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Electrical Engineer role based in the Palestinian Authority. The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead the design, review, and implementation of electrical and electro-mechanical systems for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include preparing detailed electrical designs and drawings, performing load calculations, selecting equipment, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. The role involves coordinating with project managers, site engineers, and other disciplines to support project planning, installation supervision, testing, and commissioning. The Senior Electrical Engineer will also provide technical guidance to junior engineers, review contractor and vendor submittals, support cost estimation and proposals, and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Engineering & Design
Prepare detailed electrical designs, calculations, specifications, reports, and engineering documentation.
Design and review low-voltage (LV) and medium-voltage (MV) power distribution systems.
Perform load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop calculations, and short-circuit analysis.
Design electrical rooms, switchgear systems, motor control centers (MCCs), and panelboards.
Select and specify electrical equipment, transformers, generators, UPS systems, VFDs, protection devices, and control systems.
Review and approve electrical shop drawings, technical submittals, and vendor documentation.
Ensure compliance with local and international electrical standards, regulations, and best engineering practices.
Automation, PLC & SCADA Systems
Develop, program, modify, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems.
Design and configure SCADA and HMI systems for monitoring and control applications.
Develop control philosophies, I/O lists, network architectures, and functional design specifications.
Integrate PLC, SCADA, instrumentation, and communication systems.
Configure industrial communication networks and protocols.
Support testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of automation systems.
Participate in FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests) and SAT (Site Acceptance Tests).
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
Professional certifications and specialized training in power systems, automation, or industrial control systems are considered an advantage.
Valid driving license is preferred.
Experience Requirements
Minimum 4–5 years of relevant experience in electrical and electro-mechanical contracting projects.
Proven experience in industrial, commercial, infrastructure, water, wastewater, energy, or utility projects.
Demonstrated experience in electrical design, power distribution, and industrial automation systems.
Experience in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting electrical and control systems.
