Provides expertise in instructional planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of online learning courses. Reviews online course materials for copyright and ADA and Section 508 compliance. Collaborates with the Course Developer team to develop accessible, engaging, and interactive content elements. Ensures the application and integration of appropriate teaching and learning theory and distance learning principles into a fully online course development process. QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in instructional design or related field preferred, but not required. Bachelor’s degree required in instructional design or related field. Relevant certifications in education and/or educational technology are acceptable. 1-3 years’ experience required. Fluency in languages is a plus, specifically Arabic and Spanish. Ability to manage time, projects, and resources to achieve goals. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Working knowledge of basic instructional design principles. Some technical skills, including a basic knowledge of HTML, Internet research, Open Educational Resources (OERs), and educational web tools. Proven abilities in curriculum development and instructional design. Interest in the implementation of innovative, creative course delivery methods. Familiarity with the OSCQR rubric preferred, but not required.
