Social Media Specialist

This is an onsite position


1. Design and deliver creative and engaging social media strategies

2. Manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, Snapchat, Tumblr and YouTube, adapting content to suit different channels and audiences

3. Oversee, plan and deliver content across different platforms using scheduling tools such as Sprinkler, Hootsuite, Buffer, Asana and Later

4. Create and/or coordinate original and engaging multimedia content across multiple social platforms

4. Develop, launch and manage new competitions and campaigns that promote your organization and brand

5. Form key relationships with influencers across social media platforms

6. Undertake audience research

7. Manage and facilitate social media communities by responding to social media posts and developing discussions

8. Monitor, track, analyze and report on performance on social media platforms using tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook Insights

9. Identify consumer trends to help with planning social media campaigns

10. Optimize content to further encourage community interaction and engagement

11. Research and evaluate the latest tools and techniques in order to find new and better ways of measuring social media activity

12. Analyze competitor activity

13. Recommend improvements to increase performance

14. Set targets to increase brand awareness and increase customer engagement and loyalty

15. Manage, motivate and coach junior staff such as social media executives or assistants

16. Manage and track budgets for social media activities

17. Educate other staff on the use of social media and promote its use within your company (in-house roles)

18. Encourage collaboration across teams and departments
