Purpose of the Role



The Mechanical Operator Level 1 will perform a variety of duties regarding installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and overhauling of machinery and/or mechanical equipment including but not limited to reciprocating gas compressors, natural gas fired engines, diesel engines and /or triplex and centrifugal pumps and compressors, pneumatic pumps, PSV’s….
The Mechanical Operator Level 1 shall report to Maintenance Supervisor
You are requested to work closely with other installation supervisors and liaises with onshore operations and maintenance support teams, vendors, contractors and specialist companies.
You will have a rotation shift of 14/14.

Responsibilities & tasks



Support “Goal Zero” safety and environmental culture through:+ Demonstration of excellent personal safety
+ Compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and practices
+ Intervention in the event of a potential issue or unsafe behavior is observed
Fully proficient individual contributor. Report immediately any identified unsafe acts or conditions using the company's procedures, e.g., Near Miss Report, Unsafe Condition Report, etc. Reports to on-shift Maintenance Supervisor / Field Manager. Ensure all maintenance activities are undertaken on the facility are and remain aligned to company business goals, in terms of Safety, Environmental Discharge, Equipment cost and minimize the downtime of the equipment Responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of the CPF's equipment, including compressors, pumps and motors. Carrying out isolations/de-isolations as required under the installations Permit to Work System prior to performing preventive maintenance and repairs Conduct field mechanical day to day operations while providing the company with the best probability of success in a timely manner while minimizing downtime and expenditures. Have the capacities to diagnose failed rotary equipment and proceed with needed repair tasks Displays professional communication and listening skills. Provide maintenance support for production equipment and processes if and when required. Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance program to maximize Equipment Efficiency. Help to develop and to ensure effective use of the maintenance tools and systems, such as work orders, spare part management, maintenance service requests, JSA and risk assessments. Contribute to the Review, maintain and control the equipment asset register to ensure all site equipment is accounted for and all related Planned Preventative Maintenance Programs are in place. Contribute in spare part management and define with maintenance supervisor the mix / max SP level Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations Consistently display required levels of engagement and a positive 'can-do' attitude while consistently supporting MET's culture of Safety, Quality, ongoing learning and continual improvement. Actively participate in and fully support/adhere to site procedures, safety and quality initiatives. Engage effectively with all other colleagues, departments and third parties as and when required. Develop maintenance procedures and schedules. Apply continual learning, lessons learned and knowledge to each task to achieve outcomes required. Perform Any other tasks or duties as required/assigned by Field Managers/ Maintenance Supervisor to meet business needs within maintenance scope Prepare daily maintenance reports and be capable of reporting to the Maintenance supervisor and Field manager. Qualifications



Minimum level Technician Diploma (BAC+3) in mechanical discipline, with basic electrical and instrumentation knowledge preferred. Minimum 2 years’ experience with preference to Oil & Gas industry in similar role Experience with reciprocating compressors, plunger pumps, screw compressors and other rotary machines maintenance and overhaul tasks preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Good physical condition (required for performing physical tasks onsite). Ability to work on day and night shifts Ability to work in a company’s different locations. Languages: Arabic, English, French
