ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT:
This job is found in Regional Bureaux (RBs), Country Offices (COs), Area/Field Offices (AOs/FOs). The job holders typically report to the Partnerships Officer/Head of unit.
At this level, job holders are responsible for the completion of a range of specialized and/or standardized processes and activities requiring some interpretation of standard guidelines and practices. Job holders are able to recommend a course of action to staff at various levels and may allocate tasks to other support staff. They work under minimum supervision, perform basic analyses and compile reports to support information consistency and smooth implementation of programmes/projects.
JOB PURPOSE:
To support the efficient and effective management of operational information, reporting, and data visualization. The incumbent will play a key role in ensuring timely, coherent, and high-quality information management and reporting to support decision-making, coordination, and communication with internal and external stakeholders. This position will directly support the OIM function in meeting the country office’s reporting requirements and information-sharing needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive):
- Support the collection, consolidation, and maintenance of operational information from various functional areas within the Country Office (CO) to support decision-making at country, regional, and corporate levels.
- Facilitate the timely flow of relevant information between the CO, Regional Bureau (RB), and Headquarters (HQ) and field offices.
- Support coordination between Programme, Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), and Logistics teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in data and reporting.

- Support data analysis and visualization efforts by developing dashboards, infographics, and other tools to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Maintain and improve databases, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility for operational planning and reporting.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and tools that can enhance operational information management and reporting efficiency.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives and the development of guidance materials on OIM & PR.
- Support emergency response efforts by coordinating and disseminating timely and accurate operational information.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
General knowledge of development and humanitarian programmes, and the collation of data and information, information management best practices, techniques, and processes.
Strong written and oral communication skills, including substantive analysis and report writing skills.
Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly assimilate, UN/WFP specific processes and systems. Prior experience with the UN/WFP specific processes and systems would be an advantage.
STANDARD MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Advanced university degree (or first university degree with additional years of relevant experience) in Information Management, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics, Data Science, International Relations, or a related field with additional years of related work experience and/or training/courses.
Language:
Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Arabic. Knowledge of one additional UN language would be advantageous.
Experience:
Three years or more of postgraduate professional experience in a relevant field of work, with a background and interest in international humanitarian development.
