Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is a leading UK charity dedicated to improving the health and dignity of Palestinians affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement. With a focus on the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, we provide vital health and medical care to those in need, particularly in crisis zones like Gaza. MAP is currently seeking Finanace and Admin Clerk to support MAP’s role in implementing National EMT project at Shifa Medical Complex and coordinating with relevant people and making sure that the implementation is according to the workplan and manage any uprising challenges. You will play a crucial role in the financial component of the project, and particularity in collecting the data required for employees’ attendance and departments’ requirements, monitoring the actual expenses and compare against planned budget in collaboration with MAP’s management and program staff, including project coordinator and healthcare providers to contribute to effective medical services.
The ideal candidate should possess strong literacy, numeracy, and analytical abilities, complemented by critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication skills, with qualifications or experience in finance or accounting preferred. They should have knowledge and experience in accounting and auditing, particularly within an NGO context, and be adept at producing and interpreting management accounts. Key competencies include organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills in English and Arabic, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word. The ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain collaborative relationships is essential.
