Position: Medical Activity Supervisor – Shifa Hospital

Type: Full-time, (2 months fixed-term contract with possibility of extension)

Location:  North of Gaza, Palestine  

Salary: ILS 4,824 per month 

Reporting to: Medical Activity Manager 

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is a leading UK charity dedicated to improving the health and dignity of Palestinians affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement. With a focus on the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, we provide vital health and medical care to those in need, particularly in crisis zones like Gaza. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising employee attendance, ensuring the implementation of clinical guidelines and infection prevention measures, and collaborating with medical professionals to deliver quality health services. The role also involves supporting disease surveillance, establishing relationships with healthcare providers, and suggesting improvements to departmental operations while ensuring program visibility and communication. Key responsibilities include documenting and reporting on various health metrics, coordinating and facilitating EMT missions, conducting inventory checks, and maintaining confidentiality of patient and EMT data.


The ideal candidate possesses substantial experience as a medical administrative officer, particularly in hospital settings. They have a proven track record in hospital management, data collection, and addressing beneficiary feedback. Additionally, they demonstrate a thorough understanding of emergency protocols, safety guidelines, MoH clinical and IPC protocols, and disease surveillance methodologies.
