Job Summary:
CRS is seeking a Field Officer to assist the implementation of CRS Psychosocial Support (PSS) programming activities in the West Bank, supporting the field offices of Ramallah and Bethlehem. CRS is expanding its PSS programming including launching new PSS programming under a research initiative with the University of Notre Dame (UND) to study the impact and effectiveness of a family-centered curriculum and simultaneously delivering PSS programming to respond to urgent family needs across the West Bank. The Field Officer will work directly with local partners and community members, coordinate various project activities and events to serve the poor and vulnerable communities. The Field Officer’s service and community relations skills ensure that the local partners and communities feed into and benefit from the project that consistently applies best practices and continuously works towards improving its impact.
Roles and Key Responsibilities:
•Support the coordination and monitoring of project activities at the field level, ensuring implementationschedules are met as per the detailed activity plan, and that adherence to systems for quality projectimplementation are strengthened.•Coordinate communication and facilitate information sharing among the project team, implementingpartners, and project beneficiaries at the community level to assist local partners in strengthening thecommunity interest, involvement, and support networks.• Liaise with various community stakeholders and mobilize them to ensure full involvement of communityleaders, community representatives, and local government representatives in the overallimplementation and improvement of project activities.• In coordination with the Senior Project Officer, support capacity building events for local partners intechnical areas of PSS, including curricula review, design, and use.• Ensure project’s stakeholders’ adherence to CRS safeguarding policy and Code of Conduct through fieldmonitoring.• Support CRS’ referral processes for CRS staff and partner staff for services including protection.• In coordination with the project team support capacity building events for community representatives.• Coordinate, monitor, and report on partner activities.• Compile data provided at the community level as per project requirements and contribute to thepreparation of reports.• In coordination with the Senior Project Officer and the MEAL team, support the data collection effortsper the project’s learning plan, including leading learning sessions with local partners and communitymembers.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree, and preferred experience in community-based psychosocial support programming.• Minimum 2 years of work or volunteer experience in community development and mobilization.• Computer skills required, particularly in using Excel.• Additional experience may substitute for some education.
Required Languages - English and Arabic fluency is required.
Travel - Travel - Must be willing and able to travel up to 70% across the West Bank, with a focus on travel to the north of the West Bank, as needed, security permitting.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in MHPSS, protection, and/or safeguarding, preferably with an international NGO.• Experience working with partner organizations (local NGOs/CBOs)• Experience working with children, adolescents, and/or caregivers.
