Position Overview:
Al-Quds Business Center for Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Al Quds University is seeking a dynamic and experienced Startup Manager to lead and support early-stage startups through their journey from ideation to scaling. This role involves providing mentorship, developing programs, and connecting startups to resources and networks critical to their growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong entrepreneurial background, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the startup ecosystem in Palestine and the MENA region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Startup Support and Mentorship:
- Provide personalized guidance to startup founders on refining business models, go-to-market strategies, and value propositions.
- Conduct individual mentoring sessions to address challenges in product development, marketing, and scaling.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing among startups.
- Program Development and Execution:
- Design and execute incubation programs, including workshops, seminars, and training sessions tailored to startup needs.
- Collaborate with educational partners and industry experts to deliver relevant and impactful content.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of startup programs, ensuring smooth scheduling, communication, and tracking of progress.
- Network and Ecosystem Building:
- Cultivate relationships with investors, mentors, industry leaders, and alumni to expand resources for startups.
- Organize networking events, demo days, and investor pitch sessions to connect startups with key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other business centers and incubators to enhance ecosystem synergies.
- Strategic Planning and Growth:
- Develop long-term strategies to ensure the success and sustainability of startups within the incubator.
- Monitor startup progress, analyze metrics, and report insights to the Incubator Director.
- Contribute to the strategic planning of the incubator, ensuring alignment with Al-Quds University's mission and objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in startup management, business incubation, or entrepreneurship, with a proven track record in supporting early-stage companies.
Strong understanding of the startup ecosystem and challenges in Palestine and the MENA region.
Extensive network within the startup community, including investors and mentors.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to startup needs.
Additional Skills:
Knowledge of digital marketing, product development, and startup financing.
Proficiency in digital tools for startup management and performance tracking.
Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English.
