Job brief 

We are seeking an experienced and thorough Chief Accountant to join our rapidly growing firm. As the Chief Accountant, you will demonstrate your accounting expertise in a variety of corporate accounting practices, including exceptional management skills. Your accuracy, efficiency, and in-depth knowledge of the Accounting Standard & IFRS “Specially IFRS-16” will ensure that consistent, accurate accounting services are provided to Company’s management.

Chief Accountant responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the entire accounting team.
• Expertise working with Oracle and financial statements.
• Monitor and record financial transactions according to accounting standards, company policies and regulations.
• Perform month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries …. etc.
• Coordinate with finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
• Generate various financial reports and statements on Weekly/Monthly/Annual basis for Management review.
• Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions.
• Monitor expenditures, analyze revenues, determine budget variances, and report the same to management.
• Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentation.
• Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts.
• Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures.
• Work collaboratively with other department’s teams to achieve shared goals.
• Address potential compliance issues proactively.
• Conduct necessary training to keep the accounting team’s skills and knowledge up to date.
• Uphold the excellent reputation of our firm.
• Report directly to the Financial Director.

Chief Accountant requirements and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and possessing a professional certificate in accounting is a plus.
• Oracle experience is a must and possessing a certificate is a plus.
• Minimum [5] years’ experience in Chief Accountant position.
• Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office and databases.
• Expertise working with Oracle and financial statements.
• Consistent, accurate, and thorough, with an eye for details
• Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding phone and email etiquette
• Able to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
• Able to motivate the team and lead by example.
• Fluent in English (reading/speaking/writing)
