About Atfaluna Society for Deaf Children (ASDC):
Atfaluna Society for Deaf Children (ASDC) is a local NGO, established in 1992 in Gaza City, in order to help persons with hearing disability in the Gaza Strip to have their chance in life through education, rehabilitation, and job training and employment opportunities. From its establishment as a small school for the students with hearing disability serving 27 pupils in 1992, Atfaluna now serves more than 40,000 persons with and without disabilities annually through a multitude of interventions and training programs implemented within a holistic and right-based and inclusive approaches involving children and adults with without disabilities, their families, service providers organizations, and the community-at-large.
Atfaluna Society for Deaf Children, located in Gaza City, is inviting applications from qualified persons for the post of hiring Two Junior Projects Officer in Southern Area
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead project planning, coordination, and meetings with partner organizations and donor as necessary
- Preparation of detailed and effective project action plans for project activities
- Ensure all projects activities are implemented in a timely manner and according to donor’s rules and regulations
- Create and implement detailed work plans needed to successfully complete the project
- Conduct periodical field visits to verify project activities are implemented according to contractual targets
- Ensure that all projects’ staff have clearly defined objectives and understand their responsibilities
- Establish result-based work planning and follow up system
- Lead the development of communication and visibility materials for the program
- Ensure that all donor branding and visibility requirements are fulfilled
- Responsible fundraising activities and proposal writings
Reporting functions:
- Write project’s reports for the donor in accordance with their guidelines and in a timely manner
- Prepare technical and financial report for management review and submitted on time
- Ensure monitoring of all ongoing programs and activities
- Monitor all project progress against the action-plan and budget, and ensure necessary adjustments are made when needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in English business administration, English studies, or any relevant field
Requires a minimum of 1 years relevant experience in the NGO sector
Proven record of success and mastering project management cycle and donor communication
Accomplished level in key competencies; delivering results, networking and influencing and cooperation Rights-based approach and participatory approach
Proven experience and training in Monitoring and Follow up
Skills and Abilities:
Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal skills and the ability to perform in stressful situations with tight deadlines are essential
Proficiency in English is highly desired
