About the Association
Friends Without Borders Association for Community Development, a charitable social developmental and educational institution whose idea stemmed in 2000 through its sense of social, educational and developmental responsibility towards the Palestinian family, and after many community activities implemented and achieved by the Foundation with self-efforts in the field environment socially and family, the idea of the Foundation was expanded and developed until it was adopted in 2003 under the Law of Charities and Civil Organizations No. (1) of (2000) and its executive regulations.

MEAL Assistant Job description:
Monitoring and Evaluation of Programs
- Data Collection & Reporting: Provide accurate qualitative and quantitative data collected in the field, ensuring timely submission according to internal and external deadlines.
- Project Tracking & Monitoring: Support the transition of projects by storing, tracking, and monitoring key project data, identifying actions needed to keep projects on track.
- Field Monitoring Visits: Conduct monitoring and follow-up visits to project sites to assess implementation and identify quality issues based on project MEAL plans.
- Focus Group & Data Collection: Support partners (if applicable) in implementing focus group discussions and data collection to report on project indicators.
- Data Collection for Evaluations: Assist in data collection for internal studies, assessments, and evaluations, ensuring the gathering of relevant data.
- Evaluation Support: Assist in planning, implementing, and following up on evaluations, including writing Terms of Reference (TORs), preparing literature reviews, recruiting evaluators, and organizing staff workshops.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Conduct basic data analysis and present findings to inform program management and decision-making.
- Field Visits for Data Quality: Undertake field visits as needed to support data collection and verify the quality of data gathered.
- Data Entry & Reporting: Support data entry and reporting processes for assessment, monitoring, and evaluation activities.
- Quality Checking: Assist in data analysis and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency in program data.
Accountability and Response Mechanism (CRM)
- Community Sensitization & Information Sharing: Conduct and facilitate sensitization sessions within target communities on accountability mechanisms and how to contact the organization.
- Accountability Mechanisms Development: Support the Accountability & Child Participation Senior Officer in designing effective, child-friendly accountability mechanisms, conducting consultations with adults and children.
Support to MEAL Unit Functions
- Team Workshops & Reflections: Participate in team workshops and lessons learned/reflection seminars to contribute to organizational learning.
- Team Meetings & Reporting: Contribute to staff and MEAL unit meetings by reporting successes and challenges accurately.
- Log Frame & Planning Support: Support the MEAL team in developing sector log frames, monitoring, and evaluation frameworks and plans.
- MEAL Systems Development: Assist in the development and rollout of MEAL systems to field staff and partners, ensuring proper understanding and implementation.
- Digital Tools Development: Support the development of digital MEAL tools (e.g., Kobo Toolbox) for quality reporting and data management.
- MEAL Unit Support: Contribute to the achievement of the MEAL unit’s goals by undertaking additional tasks that support the overall success of the program.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Educational Qualifications:
It is preferable that the applicant has a university degree in a related field such as statistics, development, or social sciences. and humanity.
Work Experience:
Previous experience collecting field data, or working with humanitarian or development organizations.
Ability to handle modern data collection tools (such as Kobo Toolbox or similar tools).
Technical Skills:
Master oral and written communication skills.
Ability to use smartphones or tablets to collect data.
Good knowledge of the basics of Microsoft Office programs, especially Word and Excel.
Required skills and experience
Education:
University degree of not less than bachelor's degree
Experience of at least 2 years in the field of .
Ability to work in difficult conditions, work under pressure.
Previous Experience :
Good knowledge of policies, institutional frameworks and laws related to protection and child welfare.
Risk management experience
. Experience in writing reports in Arabic and English
Multiple experiences in general management, team building and development, and writing technical and analytical reports.
Excellent communication and reporting and analysis skills.
IT Skills
Good knowledge of using computerized resource management systems
Languages:
Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills in both Arabic and English are required
