Job Description

• Develop and implement a detailed construction plan for structural works, including timelines, resources, and sequencing.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review and approve structural drawings, specifications, and plans before construction begins.
• Oversee daytoday site activities related to structural works, including concrete pouring, steel reinforcement, formwork installation, and erection of structural components.
• Ensure that construction activities comply with building codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Manage and supervise site personnel, including foremen, structural engineers, and laborers.
• Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure the structural integrity of the building.
• Inspect materials, workmanship, and completed work to ensure they meet the project’s specifications and standards.
• Address and rectify any deviations from design plans or quality issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols specific to structural construction.
• Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Ensure all workers are equipped with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and trained in safe work practices.
• Monitor project costs related to structural works and ensure they align with the budget.
• Approve and track expenditures, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Address any cost overruns or budget discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Identify potential issues and obstacles in the structural construction process and develop solutions to keep the project on track.
• Make decisions regarding changes or modifications to structural designs, in consultation with the design team.
