  • Key Activities :Responsible and accountable to assist all piping related in maintenance activities performed at West Qurna 1 field by ensuring maintenance activities are integrated in accordance with the Production Unit Asset Leadership team’s plans.
  • Responsible and accountable to ensure that all piping works are carried out in accordance with specifications to a high-quality standard at minimum cost and within scheduled repair time.
  • Responsible and accountable to ensure an acceptable standard of Quality, Environmental, Health, Safety and Security Management System are maintained in accordance with recognized working practices and the Company’s QEHS&S Manual and Policy.
  • Responsible and accountable for organization communicating FOD expectations on job safety, health, environmental and security to Maintenance team.
  • Reporting to piping section head for all program and activity.
  • Maintain communications with Operations Superintendents other senior Production Operations personnel to maintain equipment reliability.
  • Assist Operations in the planning and execution of plant turnarounds and facility upgrades.
  • Plans, updates, and oversees all activities within his or her areas of responsibility according to the laws, regulations, standards, specifications, and procedures. Special emphasis must be placed on health, safety, and the environment.
  • Participate in site Emergency Response activities.
  • Initiate and participate in Site Emergency Drills to raise awareness of Emergency Response procedures, and conduct team debriefs on conclusion of the drills.
  • Support the application of FOD Policy in relation to the Drug and Alcohol policy, Company Ethics, Award conditions, etc, whilst respecting and protecting the personal rights of subordinates.
  • Report incidents both internally and externally (as per the Reporting Matrix) and escalate awareness as per the Incident Reporting Guidelines.
  • Look for opportunities to optimize operations and implement accordingly.
  • Verify system operation and performance after implementing the recommendation.
  • Provide technical evaluations of material, equipment, and maintenance procedures.
  • Responsible and accountable for organization communicating FOD expectations on job safety, health, environmental and security to Maintenance team.
  • Maintain communications with Operations Department, surface technical and other related document to maintain equipment reliability.
  • Review project proposal and detail design for new and/or existing facilities.


Skills

  • Qualification: Has capability working for process control advances, fire & gas system, and ESD shutdown.
  • 15 years plus experience in Maintenance Operations – required.
  • 10-15 years’ Experienced in welding processes, procedures, and materials (MTRs / MTCs).
  • 5years previous key leadership position within an operating oil or gas field – required.
  • Postsecondary education or trade certificate – required.
  • Skills: Excellent communications (oral & written).
  • Highest standard of Safety, Health, Environment aptitude and cultivates the same in others.
  • Ability to interact in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Previously worked in a key leadership position.
  • Demonstrated experience in liaising with third party contractors, business partners and local communities.
  • Advanced understanding of Controls Integrity Management System (CIMS), safety management tools, Production Operations Best Practices (POBP), WP&B, Operated by Others (OBO) processes.
  • Advanced understanding and operation of Emergency Preparedness Procedures.
  • Good management /supervisory, interpersonal and motivation skills • Advanced knowledge of safety management tools and processes (Step back 5x5, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Risk Assessment).
  • Understanding of West Qurna 1 Project Philosophy and Design Specifications.
  • Understanding of West Qurna 1 Project regulations.
  • Understanding Welding, Process Piping B31.3, Pipelines B31.4
  • Understanding Coatings Systems, N.A.C.E.
  • Understanding GRE / GRP & Carbon Steel Wrap Systems
  • Understanding NDE Types & Processes
  • Understanding Vessel API 510, Piping API 570, & API 653 Tank repairs
  • Understanding Maximo
