Responsibilities:
- Conduct field trials and collect data on potato and similar crop varieties, planting methods, fertilizers, and pest control strategies.
- Assist senior agronomists in analyzing data and interpreting research results.
- Participate in developing and implementing new research protocols and methodologies.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in potato and similar crop production through literature reviews and attending industry events (conferences, workshops).
- Contribute to the generation of reports, presentations, and proposals related to research findings.
- Gain hands-on experience in key crop production operations such as planting, irrigation, weed control, and pest management. This will provide a strong foundation for understanding the practical application of your research findings.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, or a closely related field.Strong understanding of plant physiology, soil science, and crop production principles.Experience conducting field research or working in a production agriculture setting (preferred).Familiarity with relevant agricultural software and data analysis tools (e.g., spreadsheets, statistical software).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.Eagerness to learn and a passion for innovation in agriculture.
