About the role:
We are recruiting a Procurement Director for our client in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
You will be pivotal in guiding our client’s organization towards successful procurement strategies and execution. You will collaborate closely with our leadership teams to develop and implement procurement plans that improve performance and ensure long-term sustainability. Your expertise will be essential for maintaining procurement department governance and operational efficiency.
In this role you will focus on:
Ensuring a good governance for the procurement department.
Developing procurement strategies.
Establishing and maintaining relationships with strategic partners.
Supervising and controlling the process of developing RFx.
Overseeing strategic sourcing.
Negotiating high-value contracts with strategic vendors.
Managing performance and Tracking KPIs.
Driving continuous improvement in procurement practices.
Mentoring the procurement team.
You will lead the transformation in the procurement department including initiatives related to strategic procurement and vendor relationship management. You will oversee the efficient operation of the department, proactively addressing any challenges that may arise to maintain seamless functionality.
This position is based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in in business administration, finance, or supply chain or logistics management or related field; MBA preferred.
8 years+ of experience in related field, with at least 2 years in senior managerial position.
MCIPS certification is preferred.
In-depth knowledge of strategic procurement and sourcing strategies.
High negotiation and contract management skills
Strong strategic and analytical skills
High understanding of supply chain practices (demand planning, order management, parameter setting, warehousing, inventory controls, etc)
Good understanding of Finance and legal affairs
Understanding of ERP systems.
High project Management skills
Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written, with fluency in both English and Arabic.
