Palco Import & Distribution Company, one of the leading Palestinian companies specializing in the import and distribution of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) in the Palestinian market, which continues its journey of growth and excellence since its establishment in 1997, announces a job vacancy to join its team for the position of: Maintenance Employee, according to the following specifications:
Main responsibilities and tasks for this vacancy:
• Performing periodic and preventive maintenance for the company's facilities, equipment, and devices, in accordance with approved plans and procedures.
• Diagnosing technical malfunctions, determining their causes, and working to repair them with the required speed and efficiency.
• Following up on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air conditioning, and other general maintenance work as needed.
• Performing periodic and preventive inspection and maintenance work for forklifts, monitoring their technical condition, and ensuring their operational readiness and safety.
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions in forklifts and repairing them, or coordinating with specialized technical parties when necessary.
• Conducting periodic inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure their safety and operational readiness.
• Responding to maintenance requests and breakdowns received from various departments and working to address them within the specified time.
• Using maintenance tools and equipment in a safe and proper manner and maintaining them.
• Tracking maintenance needs for spare parts, materials, and tools, and submitting necessary requisitions according to approved procedures.
• Coordinating with suppliers and external maintenance service providers when needed, and following up on the execution of required work.
• Documenting maintenance work, malfunctions, and completed repairs, and submitting the necessary reports to the competent authority.
• Adhering to occupational safety and health instructions during the execution of all maintenance work.
• Maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the work area after completing maintenance tasks.
• Contributing to reducing recurring breakdowns by identifying their causes and proposing appropriate solutions.
• Performing any other tasks related to the nature of the work assigned by the direct supervisor.

Qualifications required in applicants:
• Diploma or vocational certificate in mechanical or electrical maintenance or a related field.
• Practical experience in general maintenance, preferably in commercial or industrial companies or facilities.
• Experience in maintaining and diagnosing malfunctions in equipment and machinery, preferably with experience in forklift maintenance.
• Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and troubleshooting and repair methods.
• Ability to use various maintenance tools and equipment correctly and safely.
• Ability to read technical schematics and manuals for equipment, if available.
• Ability to handle emergency breakdowns and respond within the required timeframe.
• Adherence to occupational health and safety standards during the execution of maintenance work.
• Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and coordinate with various departments.
• Good skills in organizing maintenance tasks, documenting breakdowns, repairs, and spare parts requirements.
• Ability to communicate and deal with suppliers and maintenance service providers when needed.
• Commitment, discipline, ability to handle work pressure, and ability to work in an operational environment.
• A valid driver's license is preferred if the nature of the work requires driving company vehicles or moving between its sites.
• Specialized professional courses or certificates in equipment or forklift maintenance are preferred.
