Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is a leading UK charity dedicated to improving the health and dignity of Palestinians affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement. With a focus on the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, we provide vital health and medical care to those in need, particularly in crisis zones like Gaza. As part of our commitment to meeting the growing needs of the communities we serve, we're expanding our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the successful execution of MAP’s construction and maintenance projects, with a focus on healthcare facilities, by monitoring project quality, compliance, and timelines. The role involves supervising mechanical system designs, installations, and operations (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, firefighting systems), preparing tender documents, reviewing engineering submissions, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve project goals. Additionally, the position supports data-driven monitoring, reporting, and documentation, ensuring adherence to MAP’s standards and continuous improvement in healthcare infrastructure delivery.
We are looking for someone with a strong background in Mechanical Engineering, particularly in projects related to medical facilities, and preferably with experience in healthcare. The ideal candidate has expertise in reporting, data collection, tender preparation, and project assessments, combined with a commitment to public health and safety.
